Scout Camp-Ins
$30.00 per scout, sibling of scout, or friend of scout
$15.00 per adult
As accordance with Museum Policy and for the Safety of the campers
- One Adult is required per Daisy, Brownie, or Junior Scout
- One Adult is required per eight Cadet/Senior Scouts
Camp-Ins run from 7:00 pm Saturday through 8:30 am Sunday
There is a 20 scout minimum to book a Camp-In
To reserve your group’s Camp-In date please book two-weeks in advance by calling Kathie Ahles (757)393-8031 ext 10 or e-mailing Mrs. Ahles at ahlesk@vshfm.com, please put Scout Reservation in the subject line. When booking your information please state or write; Leader’s name, contact number, contact e-mail, date(s) you would like, number of campers, number of adults
Camp-In Rates include: Museum Admission, Scavenger Hunt, Light Snack, Scout Related Movie or Scout Program, Continental Breakfast, Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Explore the Museum Patch, Participation Certificate

7:00 pm – 7:30 Check In
7:30 – 7:45 Museum Orientation
7:45 – 9:45 Scavenger Hunt/Activities
10:00 – 11:30 Snack/ Movie or Program
11:30 – 12:00 Prepare for Bed
12:00 Lights Out
7:00 am Wake Up
7:00 – 8:30 Continental Breakfast, Awards, and Departure
Scout Programs
Scout programs can be booked anytime of the week
At the museum: Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Outreach: Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Scout Program Rates
$10.00 per scout
$6.00 per adult
A minimum of 15 scouts to book a program
Programs can also be booked for Outreach Services:
- A minimum of 15 scouts and a maximum of 30 scouts per program
- $90 for one program
- $65 for an additional program
- Gas Mileage Free for any city located in the Seven Cities, all other cities call or e-mail for mileage rates

Light Blue: Honesty and Fair
The Empty Pot picture book will illustrate the importance of
being honest and the rewards given for being fair.
Purple: Respect Myself and Others
The Crayon Box That Talked and Hey Little Ant picture books will
illustrate the importance of making the right decisions and
respecting other people’s differences.
Brownie Try It
Eat Right, Stay Healthy
Let’s focus on the food pyramid, food labels and healthy food choices.
Girl Sport
Come out and play! Have a ball learning some
sports basics and exploring the VSHFM.
Junior Badge
Food Power
Explore balanced diets, food labels and the effects
of fat and sugar on the body.
A Healthier You
How do I lead a healthy life? Activities and discussions relating to self‐image, eating disorders and disease prevention included. Also, create a healthy habit presentation for young girls.
Senior/Cadet Badge
Food Connection
Focusing on planning healthy well‐balanced meals, food labels,
the effects of fat and sugar on the body and much more.
Also create a themed menu and
healthy habit presentation for young girls.
Women’s Health
How can I become a healthier individual? The effects of stress, drugs, tobacco, sleep, healthy food choices and exercise on the body. Also included: create a healthy habits program for young girls.
