The Promethean Collaborative Classroom
Creating a 21st Century Learning Environment
On May 19, 2006, Virginia Sports Hall of Fame dedicated its new Promethean Collaborative Classroom and Professional Development Center. Educators from all over the state of Virginia attended, and were mesmerized by the capabilities of this new technology.

The ACTIVclassroom enables VSHFM educators to deliver rich, animated, sound-enabled programs that brilliantly promote student achievement. The wireless Promethean ACTIVotes stimulate whole group response and allows instantaneous feedback anytime during the program. Results of students’ predictions, inferences, observations, and choices can be immediately assessed and viewed (graphs, pie charts, etc), giving teachers valuable information about students’ SOL mastery to take back to the classroom.
